Project Description
Skyscape Group was appointed to take over the Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) installation package on a live healthcare facility after the project had fallen behind programme. Our team rapidly assessed the existing installation, identified completed and outstanding works, and developed a structured recovery plan to safely deliver the remaining works.
Working within an occupied healthcare environment required meticulous planning and coordination. Critical building services had to remain operational throughout the programme, with electrical isolations carefully planned to protect essential circuits and minimise disruption to the facility's day-to-day operations.
The scope of works included the coordination and installation of mechanical, electrical and public health services, alongside power distribution, lighting, containment, fire alarm infrastructure, data cabling and associated building services systems. Close collaboration with the client, design team and other trades enabled the project to be brought back under control while maintaining programme momentum.
Through careful engineering, phased delivery and effective project management, Skyscape successfully completed the remaining MEP works, demonstrating our ability to recover complex projects and deliver safely within live, operational environments.
Challenge
This project required Skyscape to mobilise onto an existing live construction site and quickly gain a full understanding of the MEP installation already completed by others.
